Young adult’s health
July 22nd, 2009 Posted 8:19 am
Young adults are generally in good health, subject neither to disease nor the problems of senescence.
Biological function and physical performance reach their peak from 20-35 years of age, waning after 35,strength peaks around 25 years of age, plateaus through 35 or 40 years of age, and then declines. Flexibility also decreases with age throughout adulthood. However, there are large individual differences and a fit 40-year-old may outcompete a sedentary 20-year-old.
Women reach their peak fertility in their early 20s. Assuming unprotected intercourse with a man of the same age, women aged 19-26 have about a 50% chance of becoming pregnant during a given menstrual cycle, compared with 40% in the 27-34 age group and below 30% for women 35-39.
In developed countries, mortality rates for the 18-40 age group are typically very low. Men are more likely to die at this age than women, particularly in the 18-25 group: reasons include car accidents and suicide. Mortality statistics among men and women level off during the late twenties and thirties, due in part to good health and less risk-taking behavior.
Cancer is much less common in young than in older adults. Exceptions are testicular cancer, cervical cancer, and Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
In sub-Saharan Africa, HIV/AIDS has hit the early adult population particularly hard. According to a United Nations report, AIDS has significantly increased mortality of between ages 20 to 55 for African males and 20 to 45 for African females, reducing the life expectancy in South Africa by 18 years and in Botswana by 34 years.
Illness is always around ,how to protect yourself in the dangers,it’s really a difficult stuff in every one’s life.
So do care for yourself cause health is in the first place.
Guitar’s character
July 22nd, 2009 Posted 8:06 am
The classical guitar is characterized by:its shape, construction and material — modern classical guitar shape, or historic classical guitar shapes. A guitar family tree can be identified. The flamenco guitar is derived from the modern classical, but has differences in material, construction and sound. Its strings — today primarily nylon, the bass-strings additionally being wound with a thin metal thread. The instrumental technique — the individual strings are usually plucked with the fingers or the fingernails — plectra are rarely used .Its historic repertoire, though this is of lesser importance, since any repertoire can be and is played on the guitar. The name classical guitar does not mean that only classical repertoire is performed on it, although classical music is a part of the instrument’s core repertoire, instead all kinds of music can be and are performed on it. The term modern classical guitar is sometimes used to distinguish the classical guitar from older forms of guitar that are also sometimes called classical. Many luthiers today also build these older forms of “classical” guitars . If you have any interest on guitar, learn it,not so hard and you’ll enjoy it.
classical guitar instruction
July 22nd, 2009 Posted 8:01 am
The classical guitar, is a plucked string instrument from the family of instruments called chordophones. It traditionally has 3 plain gut bass strings and 3 gut wound silk core treble strings and the modern adaption typically has 6 nylon strings . The basic characteristics of the shape of the modern classical guitar were established by the nineteenth century Spanish luthier Antonio Torres Jurado. Hence the modern classical guitar is sometimes called “Spanish guitar” — due to its origins.
The classical guitar has a long history and here is the some great men in the classical guita’s history.
Robert de Visée (1650 – 1725) with French Court music for baroque guitar and lute. He was the guitar player of Louis XIV of France at the court of Versailles. His works are influenced by hearing Jean-Baptiste de Lully (1632 – 1687) who was also engaged at the court of Louis XIV.
Mauro Giuliani (1781 – 1829) with Italian/Viennese classical music for the 19th century so-called early romantic guitar. He was chamber-virtuoso of Archduchess Marie Louise of Austria. Some of his works include strong influences from his visits to 19th century opera performances.
Francisco Tárrega (1852-1909) of Spain. His intimate salon-style music, is both romantic in character and includes charming character-pieces such as polkas and walzes. He even played for the Queen of Spain, Isabel II. From 1869, Tárrega used a guitar by Antonio de Torres (1817-1892), an instrument whose design is somewhat similar to today’s modern classical guitar.
Agustín Barrios (1885 – 1944) from Paraguay, towards the end of his life using a modern classical guitar (his last instrument was a gift from Queen Eugenia of Spain in 1935[2]). His music is romantic in style, with some works showing strong folkloric Paraguayan influences, shaped from his cultural background.
Sergei Orekhov(1935 – 1998) with music for Russian 7-string guitar. In his compositions and arrangements he pulls inspiration from his intimate knowledge of traditional Russian folk music and folk songs.

women bag’s style
July 21st, 2009 Posted 10:31 am
Like most fashion-obsessed women, I love mixing high and low fashion to create edgy and unique looks. A Preen dress with a Gap anorak, a Joe Fresh Style shirt with a Diane von Furstenberg skirt. And if the look is willing, there is nothing I love more than adding accessories. From vintage jewellery to designer shoes and locally handcrafted bags, I love them all.
Murphy and Brassington design and sew artisanal bags that are a study in unstructured simplicity and versatility. Almost all of their bags are reversible and while some of the materials in their pieces are new, the pair make good use of recycled leather and fabric from dresses, blankets, leather coats, tablecloths and curtains. You can also help create your own custom bag by bringing in fabric or leather pieces you’d like to reuse and the ladies will happily retool into a portable work of art. But buyer beware, bags this cool will undoubtedly steal the spotlight from your clothes, jewellery and shoes.

The Age of Reason
July 18th, 2009 Posted 6:40 am
Being an Investigation of True and Fabulous Theology is a deistic treatise, written by eighteenth-century British radical and American revolutionary Thomas Paine, that criticizes institutionalized religion and challenges the then current understanding of the Bible. Published in three parts in 1794, 1795, and 1807, it was a bestseller in America, where it caused a short-lived deistic revival. British audiences, however, fearing increased political radicalism as a result of the French revolution, received it with more hostility. The Age of Reason presents common deistic arguments; for example, it highlights what Paine perceives as corruption of the Christian Church and criticizes its efforts to acquire political power. Paine advocates reason in the place of revelation, leading him to reject miracles and to view the Bible as an ordinary piece of literature rather than as a divinely inspired text. The Age of Reason is not atheistic, but deistic: it promotes natural religion and argues for a creator-God.
Most of Paine’s arguments had long been available to the educated elite, but by presenting them in an engaging and irreverent style, he made deism appealing and accessible to a mass audience. The book was also inexpensive, putting it within the reach of a large number of buyers. Fearing the spread of what they viewed as potentially revolutionary ideas, the British government prosecuted printers and booksellers who tried to publish and distribute it.
Rise of the Fallen
July 18th, 2009 Posted 6:38 am
“Rise of the Fallen”is a bombastic, loud movie with a thin plot based upon robots that transform from objects like cars, trucks, and airplanes, at war with each other and us humans, sort of, with something about a device that will snuff out our sun so that these robots can have an energy source. It’s got a lot of running, a lot of “Go! Go! Go!”ing, a lot of Megan Fox in skimpy outfits and perfect makeup, and a joke about robot scrotum. Pretty much it was almost the perfect, summer, action movie. The hell with the rest of the critics who bashed the movie, this critic had a blast.
Back on the big screen are Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox, in their roles as Sam Witwicky and Mikaela from the “Transformer” movie a few years ago. Also back are Optimus Prime and the Autobots, now teaming up with a special unit of the United States Government, to protect us unsuspecting people from the destruction that is the Decepticons, and they’re doing a pretty good job until one mission goes a little haywire and the President is having second thoughts. Little does the Prez know that Fallen, a Decepticon of old, is ready to rise again and finally rid earth of its sun so that the robots can get a new energy source. But Fallen has a problem, namely that the secret to the hidden location of the device to capture the sun’s energy is residing in the mind of good-ol’ Sam, so now the big, bad robots have to find Sam, take his brain, and find the tools necessary to start the machine.
I’d have to say it’s really a nice movie and I like it very well.
What to wear if you have only one day
July 18th, 2009 Posted 6:05 am
I have a habit as I’m pretty fond of putting myself in the kind of hypothetical style conundrums no sane Slave to Fashion could tolerate, permanent whale tail for VPL? Run a 10K in stilettos or wear a business suit to the beach?–but I think this one really has the ability to separate the truly style savvy from the mere casual observers.
If you could only wear one outfit for the rest of your life, what would it be?
As one of the most popular women in the world, the inimitable Carolina Herrera, for my inspiration. The designer is frequently photographed in her uniform of black trousers, crisp white shirt, and a pair of pearl earrings. In fact, it’s a look that she’s worn so well for so many years that she includes some iteration of it on her runway practically every season. It’s timeless, sophisticated, and totally easy to wear.
How about you? Would you stay loyal to your tried-and-true favorite jeans? Would you go for the LBD, confident that it can be dressed up or down a thousand different ways? Would you stick with something comfy, like leggings and a cardigan? If you could only wear one outfit for the rest of your life, what would it be?
If I only have one day and I would dress like very elegant, cause I wanna myself looks good to be in the world.
