“The Ugly Truth” is a female version of “The Wedding Crashers” and “The 40-Year-Old Virgin.” It’s a chick flick that was raunchy, offensive and incredibly boring. After tolerating a half of the movie, I walked out. There was only one likable human character, the doctor, whom I felt sorry for because he was obviously going to be the brunt of the joke of the movie. My favorite character of all was the cat. It’s not a good sign when the only character you really like isn’t even human.
If you have a chance,go to see it and you wouldn’t regret it.

A woman is a very changeable creature. And what makes her change, you ask? The fashion and those who regularly set trends. Trends for appearance, hair style, clothes, shoes, bags and whatever in the world.
We live mostly following the trends set by designers and haute couturiers. In ancient time puffy and nice-looking women were in fashion. They were not fat but plump, and we can judge from ancient sculptures and pictures that men really admired them and skinny women were believed to be sick, thus they were not demanded.
But what is happening in our time? Being bigger than 90-60-90 means that you are not beautiful, you look out of fitness, and that you need some help. Sometimes it is medical help and in most cases it is psychological assistance when women should realize that they are beautiful when they feel beautiful.
By the time, the famous Fashion House settled to change their ideal figures in regards of their models. And this decision was motivated by the death of two young models who died from anorexia.
Camera Nazionelle della Moda Italiano managed to change the interests of Fashion Brands of its country and very soon the Manifest on self-regulation should be signed by reputed Fashion Houses. The event was announced at the Fashion Week in Milan, and afterwards the Couturiers became a little bit tender to models with more tempting figures than those whose legs seem to get broken if step wrongly.
I had to say women is really different from others.

Victorian

The main reason for investing in Estate and Antique Jewelry, is the fact that while investing in a piece of art, it may also be worn to complement fashion and beauty. Many collectors enjoy Estate Jewelry for its historic and intrinsic value, and many appreciate jewels from a past era that rivals modern styles with antique charm.

Many buyers of estate and antique jewelry associate the majority of old pieces of jewelry with the Victorian era. There are many different  characteristics that may identify those that are indeed verifiably Victorian during the reign of Queen Victoria of England(1837-1901).

Jewelers were responding to technological advances of the times, including the new invention of the steam engine in the 1850’s. By the late 1800’s, steam was being widely used in the mass production of jewelry. This caused jewelry to drop in quality, while at the same time it  stimulated  sales and the affordability of jewely as a whole, while it simultaneously worked for all  those jewelers for whom craftsmanship was paramount.

The following design traits and characteristics should help a fellow collector of Estate Jewelry identify original Victorian pieces.

The early Victorian pieces of Gold jewelry were all 18K to 22K. The Stamp Act of 1854, made gold content to be standardized at 9K, 12K, or 15K and required the pieces to be stamped and hallmarked. Some other popular metals of that period included silver backed by gold and rolled gold plate, as well as silver alone. Whenever a diamond was used, they were set in a white metal  to enhance their natural beauty.

Nature was a popular theme by Victorian artists including tree’s,birds, and. The early Victorian period jewelry incorporated delicate designs with beautiful engravings. Eventually the jewelry changed into the more conservative and heavy designs that  the Victorian period is known for.

Many of the popular materials used in Victorian pieces were seed pearls and coral.

The ending of the Victorian era was highly influenced by archeological expeditions in Egypt, which now elightened the western hemisphere of ancient Egyptian jewelry. Designers worked quickly to capitalize on the enormous demand for reproductions of ancient Egyptian jewelry.

With the passing of Queen Victoria, there was a new stage setting for new jewelry designs and manufacturing techniques. With decades of extreme conservative styles and designs, there was now a need for breaking from traditional ways. The seed was planted and sprouting, and eventually this grew and spawned a new era with an Art Nouveau period to launch the new century.

wedding dress picking

Your wedding venue can also affect the choice of gown. Remember that long trains and delicate fabrics might not be the best choice for a beach wedding, for instance – keep them in the formal hall. Outdoor and indoor wedding gowns should be chosen with the weather, temperature, and environment in mind – practicality is an important factor. Casual looks might be a plus for these types of ceremonies.
Many of us don’t has as much to spend as we’d like to, so we need to find out how to save and still get the perfect dress. A used gown may be a good choice, as can once a year sample sales at bridal shops – best if you’re a six, eight, or ten in bridal sizes. Rental dresses are becoming more popular, too. Probably the best money saving advice, however, is to keep your eyes open and go with more than the bridal shops. Plenty of beautiful dresses can work for your wedding, even if they aren’t advertised as wedding dresses.
Remember pick the one you like it best and won’t regret any more in your later life.

Looking for a good used car , perhaps an alternative to that gas-hungry SUV? How about a station wagon, also called sports wagons? Wagons offer better fuel economy than larger SUVs, they have a sedan-like ride and allow for flexible cargo carrying.
Here are 3 top used station wagons to consider. The list is derived from sources such as Consumer Reports, Edmunds.com, Kelley Blue Book (KBB), the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and more, and comprehends reliability data, owner satisfaction, fuel economy, value-for-money, performance, safety and features and amenities.
Volvo XC70 (2001 and later) – Although technically competing in the midsize sedan segment, the Volvo XC70 (XC stands for Cross Country), has the “sure-footedness of all-wheel-drive, SUV-grade cargo space and a superior reputation,” according to Edmunds.com. Side airbags have been included since the beginning (Volvo XC70 is now in its third generation), and a T6 model with turbocharged 3.0-liter engine arrived in 2008. Editors at Consumer Reports place the 2005 XC70 as a great used car value in the $16,000-$18,000 price range and also hail its added safety features and amenities, addint that XC70 “represents a dwindling breed of utilitarian wagons.” Consumers looking for a used XC70 should consider certified pre-owned cars. If more power is your criteria, check out 2003 and later. But you can’t go wrong with 2001 or 2002 either, as these second-generation XC70s, as long as they have been properly maintained, are great used car values. What’s not to like? Edmunds warns that the “European and premium status of Volvos” can translate into expensive repair bills if there are any problems.
Scion XB Wagon (2004 and later) – From Toyota’s youth-oriented Scion division, the Scion xB compact wagon was designed to attract the 18 to 34 year old crowd – and has been very successful in this effort. Although the boxy look may turn off some consumers, the intended market apparently loves it, especially with xB’s high personization. Other pros include hassle-free pricing and the fact that xB can be built to order in about a week. Edmunds recommends xB as “an excellent choice for those who are looking for a well-equipped, safe and versatile small utility vehicle.” Consumer Reports points out the 5-passenger Scion xB’s “enormous backseat, spacious cargo area, easy access and relatively powerful engine… a good alternative to a similarly-priced sedan.” The magazine lists the 2004-2005 xB in best used car values in the $8,000-$10,000 price range and among the most reliable small used cars from 1999 to 2008. The 2009 Scion xB is an IIHS Top Safety Pick. KBB compliments the second-generation xB (introduced in 2008) for its entry-level luxuries such as standard air conditioning, power windows/locks/mirrors, and Pioneer sound system with iPod integration in its top 10 new and used back-to-school rides.
BMW 3-Series Sports Wagon (2000 and later) – Look for fourth-generation (the wagon debuted in 2000, a year after the sedan), and fifth-generation (bowing in 2006) for the best used car values in this compact luxury category. Edmunds’ editors hail the fourth-generation BMW 3-Series for “world-class suspension, engines, steering and brakes… a delight to drive.” CNET editors complimented the 2006 BMW 325xi Sports Wagon for “fine performance and all-weather traction, small wagon usefulness, and a complete suite of all-weather electronics,” but added that “Fully optioned, this is a pricey wagon.” Consumer Reports likes the 2009 3-Series wagon’s “agile handling, firm yet supple and controlled ride” and further likes the front seat comfort and fit and finish. Cons include “conrols, cup-holder design, small interior, premium fuel.”
Thinking the three ,I just can’t decide which to choose .

This summer I  found many knids of different swatches. As you may let me introduce one special as follows.
I haven’t actually worn one since sometime in the late 90s, but I’ve been going on and on about starting again for months in the form of one of these new Fall/Winter
I must, for a moment, veer vaguely off-topic to note all those adventures you see in the photos has what is very likely the largest private collections of Swatch watches in the country. No joking.  And it’s pretty sweet, like a walk down memory lane, especially for an 80s kid. I wish it was open to the public.
I’m thinking a couple of these new models will end up both on my wrist . At the moment, I’m a bit partial to the NYC one pictured above. But I’m also digging the chainlink version, perhaps for slightly dressier occasions.

Summer’s most fashionable drink has to be Lorenza Rosé, created in Napa by catwalker-turned-vintner Michele Ouellet. The leggy Californian was given her own label by her parents for her 21st birthday, and Lorenza was born. Modeling, it turns out, is a good match for a career in wines: After the grapes are picked and crushed they need to ferment for six months—which gave Ouellet plenty of time to smile for the cameras. That’s her on the Lorenza label. Shot in black and white by David Mushegain and with a graffiti logo by Louis and Jack Shannon.
Fashion is has its own life and could be last for a long time if it is classical. So what do you think about the fashion?

Alice Temperley grew up in the “middle of nowhere,” as she says, on a cider farm in Somerset, England, and so loved anything sparkly, she earned herself the nickname Magpie. She’s traded in the beaded fairy dresses with which she made her name in the early oughties for a leaner and meaner, more au courant aesthetic, but her Fall collection still has plenty of shiny bits. Once a boho, always a boho. In June, Temperley was spotted knocking around the Glastonbury Festival in the family cider bus. As you may know ,she has a beautiful face and elegant body which make every one to be close to her.

It’s been 40 years almost to the day since Woodstock, and some would say that four decades on, the Man has won. But we’ve rounded up some contemporary fashion types who, whether through a commitment to organic practices or just plain shagginess, are keeping the spirit of ‘69 alive. Just don’t call them hippies—they prefer to be known as free spirits.
As the spirit is popular in the world,we know it much more than before.
So if you join the group, you will find the joy.
