’No pains,no gains’
June 9th, 2009 Posted 1:02 am
The old saying’No pains,no gains’tells us a simple truth:one will not achieve anything if he he does not work hard.
For instance, when learning English,we have to acquire a large vocabulary.although you can find all kinds of vocabulary books in the bookstore,or you may use different methods of memorizing,in the end you have to learn each word by heart one after another.it is simply not possible for any talented learner to master 5000 new words a day.many students feel painful in memorizing English word, but all they need to know is just’No pain,no gains’.
In the fields of scientific study, the so-called geniuses generally need to work even harder than the commoners.einstein’s success formula said that success was composed of 99% of hard work and only 1% of gift.behind any accomplishment, there is a great amount of efforts.

the welcome back party
June 9th, 2009 Posted 12:53 am
Yang Ling is my fellow classmates and friend.recently she had a terrible condition and has been hospitalized for over a month.she was depressed, sad and downhearted.she told us so many things are working against her,and she didn’t know how to change.
The day before she was released from hospital,we,some of her friends decided to give a surprise to cheer her up the next day.that night, she came back, shoulders bent and head fallen.she was so deep in her bad mood that she didn’t realize that her dorm is the only one in the building that is dark.she turned the key in the lock and opened the door when the room was suddenly lit like a bright day.her eyes sparkled with delight and surprise.she saw all her classmates crowded in this tiny room.everyone was holding something in hand, flowers, fruits, cards, cheering,’welcome back!’she was so moved that she burst into tears.and smile returned to her pretty face.she said’thank you all.’heartedly.
Ever since that day, happiness and delight have stayed with her.life is so wonderful.

My view on Job-Hopping
June 8th, 2009 Posted 11:12 pm
Some people tend to stick to their positions all tile time,as they think the longer one works in a particular field, the more skillful one will be at it.some have been teachers all their lives. Some devote their life energy to scientific research.such people love their woke and turn out to be specialists in their own field.they are usually high achievers.
Some are different.they are in the habit of job-hopping,for they always pursue what is new and stimulating.they never seem content with their present situation.some like to meei more people, make more momey and new acquaintances;so they hop form job to job.
As far as I am concerned,I want to be professionally strong.I am not in favor of frequent job hopping,as the saying goes’jack of all trades, master of nostes’.but I want to have opportunities for advancement and as many colleagues as possible to cooperate and communicate with so as to be more creative and less partial.

a little story,but teach me a lesson!
June 6th, 2009 Posted 10:16 am
My boss had asked me to print the price list for several days, but i did not like to do.Because the total pages of the price list is 358.In order to take easily,i have to print on the both sides of the page. But my printer has not this kind of function. So i have to print one by one. That means i have to send ‘print ‘ command for 358 times.I thought it will take at least a day to accomplish this task. This work is so troublesome that i choose to do the other work .
When my boss told me again yesterday,i started to prinit. But when i begun to do,i found it was not as difficulit as i had thought.I finished 100 pages just in an hour.I completed this task which i had not completed in a week, just in half a day.
I drew a lesson from this affair. Many things seem to take long time and efforts to complete before you start to do.But the feeling is different after working.you will find suprisingly that it is not as hard as what you thought before.

Dog Training
June 6th, 2009 Posted 9:32 am
Today, we know that the body can experience an allergic response to almost anything, including foods, drugs, and chemicals and your dog is no different than you are in that respect.
Companion dog training is really no different than more advanced training in its principles. All types of training should involve structure and boundaries with clearly defined rules but should be done in a consistent and fun manner. The main difference between companion dog training and more advanced types of training is really the depth of the training.
At the same time that the incidence of allergy has increased (now affecting almost one in five dogs), numbers of immune-mediated disorders also appear to have risen. For example, Cocker Spaniels are particularly susceptible to hypothyroidism, where the immune system mistakenly decides that the thyroid gland in “foreign” and destroys it, leading ro medical and behavior problems cause by low thyroid hormone levels. Reports of immune-mediated disease have increased dramatically over the last few years, but this could simply be down to better diagnoses.
There are different kinds of motivation that can be used effectively in both companion dog training and more advanced types of training. Motivation is anything your dog wants: toys, high value food items like hot dogs, cheese, or jerky, attention and petting, playtime outside, a walk, etc. Motivation also can be used effectively to teach dogs about impulse control and patience. When a dog has to wait to receive its dinner or sit before going outside, it learns that it has to control its impulses and limit its frustration to receive what it wants. Teaching a dog patience should be a cornerstone of companion dog training. The best way to begin a companion dog training program is to invest the time and money in a knowledgeable and patient dog training professional. The Association of Pet .

The Sentiment of My Future
June 3rd, 2009 Posted 2:18 am
Sometimes, it feels as if things were pre-destined and pre-arranged by an unknown power that we as ordinary people can’t even have control over…
I once thought that to be a teacher is my destined profession, but it’s difficult to be a teacher only with a bachelor’s degree. I’ve got to get a master’s degree or even a doctor’s.Oh ,my god, my fleeting youth days. I can’t stand my three years of wasting time!
I am always keeping everything to myself, sometimes, I need someone to give me some suggestions. What can I do after I finish my study?I must be confused after several years.
If one has no goal for life,he will idle away during his lifetime. So,for now,I have no choice but to hunt for a job,and work can help me feel that I am useful.
Life is full of twists and turns, and I feel obliged to face the music sooner or later. What all I could do is to pass TEM-8 and to improve oral english. I will never give up my dreams…
We are both English majoy.I hope that my suggestions can give you some help!

Pressure
May 31st, 2009 Posted 9:32 am
There are so many people under the unbearably high pressure in China. Heavy work demands and intense competition pile enormous pressure on the individuals who desperately try to pursue a more well-paid salary and push for a higher position. For students, exam pressure makes them overburdened and overwhelmed. Stress is a personalized phenomenon but confronts everyone at different degrees.
This phenomenon divides people. Some have a depressing and gloomy attitude toward the physical and mental strain. So stress is always blamed for someone’s mental disorder, violence and even suicide. In contrast to their negatively reacting to stress, others may face up to the mounting pressure and keep a excellent mood.
How to properly and effectively cope with the huge pressure? First, people under the tremendous pressure can select a proper way to relax, such as pampering themselves with a long hot bath and immersing themselves in the favorite CD. Repetitive tasks and no break will propel people to pay a hefty health price. Second, the over-high expectations leading to the strong strain must be lowered. Third, a chat with close friends is a favorably good way. Talking to them will alleviate enormous pressure.
The prospect of uncertainties is putting a heavy strain on a growing number of college graduates. A major decision facing these freshmen of the real world is to choose a suitable life path.
Some are bent on furthering their education abroad or going to graduate school, with the aim of acquiring more knowledge or increasing their chances of finding more gainful employment after they return home or graduate. Others decide to plunge themselves into the tight job market. Still others, who are in the minority, intend to set up their own business because they are more ambitious than their peers.
I will say good bye to my college days. Although a couple of options lie ahead of me, I have made up my mind to land a job with one of the big companies in some affluent areas, such as Yangtze Delta, Canton and so on. I was born into an impoverished urban family. My parents are laid-off and have been working feverishly to fund my college education. As a grown-up, I have to shoulder more responsibilities and strive to lighten my parents’ load.
