May 27th, 2010 Posted 8:47 am
Fashion experts are always on the lookout for the next big thing - a look or style that will catch the imagination of the public and go viral in a short period of time, generating huge sales while making a unique style statement. Recently sheepskin boots took the footwear world by storm, and they continue to sell extremely well.
Here’s why. Current fashion trends favor foot wear that is comfortable, practical, and affordably priced. Following economic conditions, fashion buyers and the powers that be deciding what will be emphasized are pushing well-made, quality items that will last, be comfortable, and serve their purpose. Sheepskin boots fit the bill in every way. Brands like best-selling Ugg Boots from Australia - where they are known to have a lot of sheep per capita - are very warm and very comfortable, the two prerequisites for winter boots in a practical period. In addition, they look as good on your feet as they feel on your feet. Ugg Boots, for example, exude the right look - cozy, comfy, attractive, and best of all, affordable.
Sheepskin and sheep’s wool has long been used by sheep farmers to make high quality foot wear that is very durable, extremely comfortable, with excellent insulating properties to keep feet warm in all but the most extreme conditions. What was once a matter of simple practicality has now become a best-selling fashion trend.
Have you picked up a pair of fantastic sheepskin boots yet? If you are in the market, there are a lot of styles to peruse before you choose. Women’s styles are still the most popular, but brands like Ugg Boots also offer a full line of sheepskin boots for men and children. Now the entire family can look great and enjoy outdoor activities in cold weather with feet that are toasty warm and very comfortable. Manufacturers of sheepskin boots like Ugg Boots uses exacting standards to produce top-quality boots.
Because sheep herding is a mainstay of the economy, the history, and the culture of Australia and New Zealand, the sheepskin boots are made to exacting standards. These boots reflect more than a business opportunity. Ugg Boots, Kiwi Sheepskins, and other “down under” manufacturers see their sheepskin boots as a reflection of an important way of life that many in their countries continue to experience. They are not quickly designed then sent off to be made as quickly and as cheaply as possible. Ugg Boots are made in Australia, from the finest materials, and are hand-crafted to last.
If you pick up sheepskin boots for the entire family you will be impressed not just by their fashionable good looks, but by the quality with which they are made. And the coming years will prove their durability, too.

Black is the most versatile color for women’s boots
May 15th, 2010 Posted 3:54 am
In fashion, nothing beats the beauty of black. It is the color that never goes out of style. Through the dramatic evolution and development of fashion, black has always been one of the most sought after colors. Even in the world of footwear, black is the one that never fades out in the statement of fashion.
Shoes have now gone to complex styles and designs. Boots, for example, are now considered to be must-haves in a girl’s wardrobe. The size, shape, style, and design are vital things that one looks after in buying a pair of boots. However, these may become futile if used with the wrong and awful looking color. Therefore, one reason to celebrate black is because it has always remained as the most versatile color for a pair of boots.
Black boots are the most versatile for women. You can never go wrong with wearing black boots. Why? Black looks naturally elegant, attractive, and beautiful. Whichever boots you wear, whether over-the-knee, mid-calf, high-heels, skin-tight, slouch, or other variations; black certainly compliments your look. Black is an all around color. You can wear it with anything, at any time, and anywhere. No wonder why women keep black as their top most favorite color for boots. It is the one that can match any clothing. The color is neutral, so you can be safe to wear any color of clothing that you like. It blends in cooperatively with anything that you wear. It is also flexible with any style of clothing.
Indeed, black is the most versatile color for women’s boots. You can wear this color anywhere in the world without compromising quality looks.

Shoes are often a hidden part of men’s fashion but I’d say the shoe fashions change far faster and are far more restrictive than other men’s fashion. The big stores decide what we’re going to wear, but unlike trends in clothing fashion being quite general, the shoe designers make identikit shoes that look plain weird.
A couple of years ago they tried to foist blocky, flat ended shoes on us, intent on making us look like we had penguin feet. Then it went the opposite way, with absurd pointy shoes that look like winkle pickers from the 1960s.
Now they seem to have gone somewhere in between, with bizarre shoes that are pointy, but flat at the end. Go anywhere on the high street now such as Next or Top Man, and the only shoes available will be these bizarre pointy/flat ones, that you never see anyone wearing.
That leaves proper designer shoes that cost a packet or old faithfuls like Clarks that aren’t fashionable at all. So what do you do if you want some good value, good looking shoes? When you find some you like, buy 10 pairs and wear them for the next 20 years - that’s what I’m tempted to do when I find some I like.
Every one do really need a good pair of shoes.

Is it designer shoe deja-vu when it is high-end borrowing from high-street or alternative fashion?
I have seen a lot of online rants over copycat and designer-inspired fashion. Certain consumers hate the idea of brand-dilution that they perceive to occur as trends spread out into the general populace. Others love the opportunity to get a designer look or similar style at a fraction of the runway price.
Interestingly, I rarely see discussions on brand-dilution or concerns over intellectual property when this situation occurs in reverse.
I’m also curious when this style-borrowing happens at the haute-couture level. At what price range and perceived quality level do shoes move from being outrageously stripperlicious and instead transform into glamourous, runway-quality, high-fashion objects? If these styles were made by anyone other than shoe-royalty, would women be lining up to own such styles?
May be yes,may be not.So if you have the chance to own one ,what would you choose?
